This policy explains what Selfyde collects, why, and what happens to it. Selfyde (“we,” “us”) generates automated face-reading reports for entertainment and self-reflection.
Your photo is cropped to your face inside your own browser before anything is uploaded. The original picture never leaves your device. The background, your clothing and your surroundings are discarded there and we never receive them. Only the cropped face is sent.
That crop is sent to our analysis provider (Anthropic) for a single analysis pass, and we keep it stored alongside your report so that your face is shown on the report page every time you open your link. We do not use it to train any model, we do not share it with anyone beyond the analysis provider performing the analysis, and we do not use it to identify you or match you against any other image.
The crop is kept for as long as your report exists. Email us and we will delete your photo and your report, and we do it on request without asking for a reason.
Only the vendors that make the service work:
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Our vendors operate infrastructure in the United States and other countries. By using Selfyde you consent to your data being processed outside your own country where applicable.
You can ask us to delete your report and account data at any time by emailing hello@selfyde.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, portability, objection) under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Write to the same address to exercise them.
We use a single session cookie for the purpose of keeping you signed in where an account exists. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Selfyde is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
